Googles project ARA modular phone is closed to being launched, it redefine generations of the mobile phone technology with a modular technology . It offers freedom to owners to design their own phone . The mobile phone is come with several modules that can inserted on a base. ie. every component will be independent module (camera,processor,display,GPU,RAM and etc…) ,so that we can assemble our own phone,
We can also upgrade our phone according to latest arrival of modules, that is we can upgrade our camera from 8 MP to 16 MP without replacing our phone. we can insert New processors ,speeker,RAM ,GPU or anything we want which provides longer life cycle for our mobile phones.
google has officially announced NVIDIA tegra K1 processor and Marvel 64-bit PXA1928 chip as CPU yet and they are working with more companies to support their new invention. A module of health sensor such as pulse oximeter which is capable for measuring blood oxygen with light are also introduced , we can expect more diagnosis modules in future.This guy will become solution for E-waste,as we have the option to update our phone. Really this guy will change the definition of mobile phones .
